Elektrum test drive
Elektrum experts, in cooperation with car dealers, have conducted test drives with various electric vehicle models available in Latvia to ascertain and test their efficiency in Latvia's climatic conditions, traffic, as well as to determine their charging speed in direct current (DC) charging stations. The data obtained are compared with the WLTP* standard data of the electric vehicle model.
Basic evaluation criteria:
- maximum mileage at full charge (combined mode),
- average consumption on different routes,
- charging speed in a 50 kW and/or 150 kW Elektrum Drive DC charging station (from 5% to 95%).
The test drive was performed on three routes:
- city ~ 90 km (average speed 30-35 km/h),
- highway ~ 80 km (average speed 90-95 km/h),
- combined ~ 150 km (average speed 50-60 km/h).
Remarks: All test drives were performed in ECO mode and maintaining a comfort temperature of ~ 21 oC in the interior, and the obtained data was read from the on-board computer of the specific electric vehicle model.
* The WLTP (Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicles Test Procedure) standard is based on worldwide driving data and includes driving situations in both urban and highway traffic.
